The Moon is Sad / La Luna está Triste
Este cuento es perfecto para signar, y mucho más interactivo si se hace con fieltro!
Me encanta contarlo porque suele gustar mucho a los peques y aprenden muchos signos, entre ellos uno que es muy importante y que me gusta mucho, el de "ayuda".
¿Habéis oido hablar de las inteligencias múltiples? Os recomiendo buscar información al respecto, aunque dentro de poco escribiré un post sobre ello.
Para empezar, te recomiendo un libro que me recomendaron a m, el de "inteligencias mltiples" de Howard Gardner.
Signar (en este caso, signar cuentos) trabaja varias inteligencias, como la lingüistico-verbal (los signos en sí, junto con el lenguaje hablado), la espacial o visual (al presentar la historia con fieltro e interactiva) , la corporal-kinestésica (de nuevo, los signos) incluso las intrapersonal e interpersonal (el cuento va sobre querer dar un beso a la luna para poder hacerla feliz, lo cual trabaja la empatía y la bondad). ¡Todo son ventajas!
Me pareció divertido hacer el cuento en español e inglés, y así poder ver que podemos trabajar varios idiomas signando lo mismo.
Este cuento es del autor Guido Van Genechten, autor belga de muchos cuentos infantiles, muy reconocido internacionalmente.

I love it because toddlers specially like it very much and they learn lots of signs, including one of my favourites and a very important one, the sign for "help".
Have you heard from the multiple intelligences? I encourage you to do a bit of research on it, although I will post about this issue very soon. For starters, I recommend the book "multiple intelligences" by Howard Gardner.
To sign (and in this case, to sign a story) approaches different intelligences, such as the verbal-linguistic (the signs themselves joined with the spoken word), the visual-spatial (the story is introduced using felt and is interactive), the bodily-kinesthetic (again, the signs used) even the interpersonal and intrapersonal (the story is about some animals working together to kiss the moon in order to comfort her, showing empathy and kindness) It's all advantages!
I though it would be fun to record the story both in Spanish and English, so we can work bilingualism as the signs used are the same regardless of the language!
This story was written by Guido Van Genechten, from Belgium. He's also written many other tales and stories for children and he's been awarded.
